Stopgap , an integrated dancecompany, works in collaboration with LinkAble to run dance sessions every Friday evening in term time. The sessions take place in Woking between 5.30pm and 7.00pm.
The sessions incorporate sensory exploration and promote a balanced and active lifestyle. Service users learn simple dance moves together as a group. You do not have to be a good dancer or have ever danced before in order to attend as the group is suitable for all abilities.
The group also acts as a transition between our Children and Youth services. Younger and perhaps uncertain individuals gain confidence from observing and working with older and more experienced service users.
We are happy for siblings of service users to take part in this group. As Stopgap is an inclusive group dancers with learning disabilities learn and dance alongside those without learning disabilities.
