Ways to pay for under-18 sessions | LinkAble

LinkAble is open to all children and young people with a learning disability or autism.

There are two types of places available for our group sessions:

1. Subsidised places

Subsidised places are part-funded by the local authority and LinkAble, reducing the cost to your family. There is no means testing but please be aware:

  • Demand is high and there is currently a long waiting list
  • Subsidised places are limited.

Children and young people are usually offered a subsidised place around once a month. This helps us ensure that as many families as possible can benefit from some level of support. If you would like to join the waiting list, please get in touch

2. Standard places

Standard places are available to join right away, with no waiting list. These are charged at £23 per hour (6-hour session). You can pay for these in the following ways:

  • If you receive a Personal Budget or Direct Payments - you may be able to use this funding to pay for sessions.  Your social worker will need to approve that this meets assessed need, and we are happy to support you with this process.

Find out more about both options on the Surrey County Council Personal Budgets page, which covers Direct Payments and Third-Party Arrangements. For independent advice, Surrey Independent Living Charity (SILC) can also help.

  • Direct self-funding - Families are also welcome to self-fund directly. Please get in touch to discuss this option.

Not sure which option is right for you?

We're happy to talk it through. Use this form to contact us, or call 01483 770037.
