Paralympics Community Fun Day! | LinkAble

To celebrate the 2024 Paralympic Games, we are holding a Paralympics Community Fun Day at the end of August!

This is your chance to try out some accessible sports in a friendly competition.

Could you be Woking's Paralympics Champion?

How the day works

You can enter a team or as an individual. It’s a brilliant opportunity for corporate team building, sports teams and community group, or a great day out for a group of friends.

If you enter as an individual, you can choose which team you would like to join and there will be a chance to try out the different sports informally before the competition begins at 1pm.

Purchasing a ticket doesn't mean you have to take part; you can also attend the event as part of the cheering squad!

The sports

This is an inclusive competition, so people of all abilities are actively encouraged to take part. The sports are Boccia, Walking Football and Accessible Cycling. If you are not familiar with Boccia, you can see a video of it below. It's really fun and absolutely anyone can take part.

The competition will see disabled and non-disabled people competing together in sports that give everyone an equal opportunity.

The accessible cycling will be run by Wheels For All, who are donating their time on the day. We are very grateful for this generous support!
