Help us end loneliness this Christmas
Loneliness shouldn't be part of anyone's Christmas. But for many people with a learning disability and autistic people, it's part of everyday life.
This year, we need to raise £15,000 through the Big Give Christmas Challenge to provide opportunities for people with additional needs to connect, build friendships, and take part in activities that genuinely enrich their lives.
From midday on Tuesday 1st December to midday on Tuesday 8th December, every donation made through the Big Give will be doubled.
Why we do it
Many of the people we support struggle to find their place in their community. Without the right support and opportunities, days can be spent at home, with few chances to see friends or try something new.
LinkAble is a place where people belong. Our weekly groups, holiday schemes and days out bring people together to make friends, build confidence and enjoy life. Your donation will help keep these connections going and reach more people who need them.
86% of parents and carers say the person they care for feels less isolated through attending LinkAble.
How you can help
- Donate: From midday on 1st December, visit our Big Give page. Every pound you give unlocks a pound from our match fund, so £10 becomes £20. Put the date in your diary!
- Fundraise: Hold a bake sale, quiz or festive get-together, then give what you raise through our Big Give page during challenge week to have it doubled.
- Spread the word: Share this with friends, family and colleagues. The more people who know, the further we'll go.
How matching works
We have a match fund of £7,500 from our pledgers and champion funders. For every pound donated during the challenge, a pound is released from this fund. If we reach £7,500 in donations, it becomes £15,000 for LinkAble.
Put it in your diary
1st December, set a reminder and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates. Let's make this a Christmas where no one is left out.
