Protecting the personal information of our supporters is extremely important to us.
We are writing to let you know about a cyber-security incident involving Beacon, the secure software platform LinkAble uses to manage supporter and donor records.
As soon as we were informed of the incident by Beacon on 3 August, we took immediate steps to understand what information may have been affected and to follow the security guidance provided. At this stage, there is no evidence that any LinkAble supporter information has been misused, and we are working closely with Beacon to establish the full facts.
We want to reassure you that LinkAble does not store bank account, payment card or other financial details in Beacon, and we do not hold health or care-related information about the people we support within this system.
We believe it is important to be open with our supporters, so we wanted to let you know what we currently know, the steps we are taking, and what you can do as a precaution.
In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch at [email protected].
