Learn and practice skills that will support the life you want to live.

Skills Build supports you in developing life and employability skills.

The day is split into a morning and afternoon session covering a range of different experiences. In the morning, we focus on learning and planning. In the afternoon, we practice our skills out in the community.

How the day works:

  • In the morning, we will focus on essential maths, English, and IT skills, followed by planning travel arrangements and costs for the afternoon activities.
  • In the afternoon, we will visit different work environments, learning and experiencing the varying opportunities offered in the working world.

Topics Include:

  • Life management skills development
  • Literacy and numeracy skills
  • IT skills
  • Money values and management
  • Travel training
  • Volunteering
  • Work Experience
