We are always interested in hearing from enthusiastic candidates looking to work with our Under 18 Groups. 

You will be part of a small team responsible for delivering an exciting, energetic schedule of activities for a group of either 5 - 10-year-olds or 11 - 18-year-olds. 

The role would be both challenging and very rewarding and you must enjoy working with people in a practical and hands-on environment. You will assist with delivering both onsite and off-site activities within a safe and caring environment. You will support service users with personal care, moving and handling and developing their independence and communication skills.

You will have a warm and caring personality and you must be confident and enthusiastic and enjoy helping and supporting others.  You must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact well.

Holiday Scheme Play Workers

  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Hours: During the Summer Holiday
  • Location: Woking
  • Pay: Between £7.17 - £12.82 (depending on age)

The role 
You will be part of a small team responsible for delivering an exciting, energetic and age-appropriate schedule of fun activities for a group of Children aged 5-11 years or a group of Teenagers aged 12-18 years. This includes things like messy play, baking, art and crafts, themed days and outings to farms, bowling and swimming etc.

The role will be both challenging and very rewarding and you must enjoy working with others in a busy sociable and hands-on environment. You will assist with preparing and delivering the sessions within a safe and caring environment and working within the framework of the charity's policies and procedures. You will support the children with personal care, moving and handling, and developing their communication skills and ensuring the safeguarding of the vulnerable young people in our care.

No previous experience is required. 

Your qualities

  • You will have a warm encouraging and caring personality with a willingness to have fun while supporting and engaging with the young people.
  • You must be confident and enthusiastic and able to encourage and help others.
  • You must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact well with both children and your team members.
  • You must be reliable, honest and trustworthy.

Available hours 

Monday – Friday on the weeks commencing 29th July 5th August 12th August, 19th August and 26th August
9am – 4pm. At least 15 days across the summer and up to 5 Saturdays in June/ July for training. 

Free Training

We invite all staff to attend Induction, Safeguarding, Disability Awareness and First Aid training courses which will enhance your CV. All appointments are subject to satisfactory Enhanced DBS (we can arrange) and references
