The return of Mayhem | LinkAble

After what has seemed like a lifetime, Mayhem is finally back!

Mayhem is our club night that has an impressive 15-year legacy. With a dedicated following, Mayhem nights have seen all you partygoers with learning disabilities come together to enjoy great music and socialising.

Of course, when the pandemic hit and we had to stop running Mayhem, we were devastated - as were the 200+ people from across Surrey who used to attend. Once the pandemic was over, we immediately started planning to bring Mayhem back, but many of the accessible venues in Woking had not survived, so we were left with no options.

Thankfully, the newly opened DoubleTree Hilton in Woking offered a solution, giving the Mayhem community an opportunity to once again, reach for the lasers!

As an inclusive night, all of the DJs who play at Mayhem have a learning disability, but more importantly, they all have a real passion for music. James Fieldus (DJ Doctor Fieldus) has been a Mayhem DJ since the start and is thrilled about the return of Mayhem. We caught up with James to find out what he thinks about Mayhem, and he said,

Mayhem is a great place to chill with friends, relax over a beer, do silly crazy dancing and make new friends. Some come from all over just to hear the great Mayhem DJs.

We've been so pleased to see so many members of the Mayhem community on social media saying things like, “so looking forward to it, it’s been a long wait but so worth it,” and “be great to see the old gang back together again”.

Our CEO, Alison Keeley, couldn’t be happier that Mayhem is finally back, she said,

Club nights that are open to the general public can be intimidating for people with learning disabilities, which is why Mayhem was created, to offer a safe and relaxed environment for people to enjoy a proper night out.

The return of Mayhem is at DoubleTree Hilton, Victoria Way, Woking, GU218EW on Saturday 19 November, 7 – 11 pm. Everyone with a learning disability is welcome.

Mayhem is a safe, friendly, inclusive, and fun environment. The new venue has a bigger capacity, so more people can attend than ever before, so please spread the word and tell your friends!
